Holy basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum) is an aromatic herb, and one of the many that belong to the mint family. It is widely grown in India and other warm areas and is traditionally viewed as an important house plant. Tulsi plant has a unique smell, small flowers, and green or purplish leaves. Various varieties are cultivated for culinary, cultural, and traditional uses. Leaves are frequently used for making herbal tea, and the plant is also valued for its attractive fragrance and growth.
