Hi everyone! I'm from India and visiting Dubai soon. Really want to experience driving a luxury car there. Is this realistic for tourists, and what do I need to arrange?

Really want to experience
Hi! It's definitely realistic - Dubai has tons of luxury rental options specifically for tourists. As an Indian visitor, you'll need your Indian driving license plus an International Driving Permit (IDP) which you must get in India before traveling. Also bring your passport, UAE tourist visa, and a credit card for the security deposit and payment. The deposit for luxury cars can be higher (around AED 1,500 for standard, more for exotic models). Book in advance especially during peak season to secure the car you want at a good rate. There's a practical guide specifically for Indian enthusiasts: https://thenewsmill.com/2025/12/practical-guide-to-luxury-car-hire-in-dubai-for-indian-enthusiasts-visiting-the-uae/ which covers all the requirements and tips for making the most of a luxury rental. Very doable if you prepare properly!
The idea of a chronograph that runs faster, like the acceleration through the first couple of gears on a Porsche, and then slows down as you approach "top speed" (or top of the dial) – well, it's pretty cool if (also) pretty impractical. Maybe I'm not smart link enough to figure out an application for it, but a complication used as a narrative device is certainly pretty uncommon.
