One sort of odd detail on this watch is the aforementioned glowing date ring insert. It comes off as something of a novelty. Considering that no other portion of the dial is lumed, it serves little, to no, purpose in the dark. But that sort of whimsical design flourish is what makes NOMOS, well, NOMOS. And while link this may just be a new dial color, it indubitably makes the watch look very good.

It's hard to imagine further sweeping changes to those models so soon. So link what we'd expect is an iteration on those new models – something like what Apple has been doing with its iPhones. And then maybe bigger changes to the Tudor Royal, the 1926, and the Style models, none of which are current collector favorites. But with a complete reimagining, they could be. Tudor has yet to fully tap into what it's Datejust could be, maybe this year it does.

The grey dial is an easy (and predictable) personal preference and I think it's a lovely backdrop for the careful use of a great link font, the oversized applied markers, and the yellow-tan coloring of the "old radium" SuperLuminova. As beauty is in the eye of the beholder my take can be very simple, I think the Deepstar II is nothing short of gorgeous.
